Candiani uses ingredients that source close to home and that are better for people and the planet. All fabrics are traceable, so that we can verify the quality and origins of the denim. Besides that, Candiani recycles 100% of their cotton waste.

Through innovation, Candiani is making sure that their manufacturing becomes more and more sustainable every year. Today, their denim can be made using only a fraction of the resources they had to use in the past.

What values do we add to the jeans?
Sustainability, innovation and quality are values that we guarantee throughout the entire process, continually striving for improvement wherever possible. For example, we reduce water usage by 50 percent in our washing process. With 80 percent of the water used being recycled.
Besides, producing every pair of jeans upon order is one of our sustainability strengths. In a world dominated by standard sizes and off-the-rack jeans, we choose to do it differently. Even with our ready-to-wear (RTW) solution. Tailors can place orders with a minimum quantity of two pairs of RTW jeans at a time.
Some facts to illustrate the differences between conventional jeans and Custom Made Jeans.
1. Water use
A single pair of jeans costs about 15 to 54 liters depending on wash length (short, medium, long). In contrast, Custom Made Jeans are washed with only 8 to 28 liters per pair, resulting in a 45-50% reduction in water usage compared to conventional jeans.
2. Recycling of the water
We recycle and reuse 80% of the water we've used during a washing process. For most conventional jeans manufacturers this water is wastewater and won't be recycled nor re-used.
3. Washing products
Jeans are usually washed with chemicals that eventually end up in nature. Our jeans are being washed with organic, natural and certified products to protect workers, consumers and our planet’s ecosystems.
4. Laser techniques
In addition to utilizing less water and eco-friendly washing products, we employ laser techniques to create whiskers and washing effects on our jeans. This approach eliminates the need for bleach or other chemical products, ensuring the perfect look for your clients! Water is one of the most precious resources we have in the world, making responsible use of it is extremely important for us.
