William Lockie Knitwear
As one of the oldest family-run luxury knitwear companies based in the Scottish Borders, William Lockie is steeped in history and tradition. ‘Lockies’, as they are affectionately known, date back to 1874 and are renowned for producing the softest, finest, highest quality and therefore most luxurious knitwear in the world. Based in Hawick on the banks of the River Teviot, Lockies pride themselves on being a family run business for generations, with skilled labour from local families. The secret lies in using the highest quality materials. Raw materials made from the purest natural materials (only the best and purest yarns are processed), coupled with the precision of the manufacturing process, result in high-quality knitwear like no other. Refined by the soft Scottish water flowing around the company's headquarters, the fine yarns are given their purpose - to become the most comfortable companions for the wearer.

William Lockie Cashmere
Cashmere, the so-called ‘fibre of kings’, is unrivalled in terms of luxury, warmth, softness and durability, but its origins are quite humble: Mountain goats from the freezing cold climates of China and Mongolia have a downy undercoat of soft shorthair to protect them from winter temperatures as low as -40°c. This undercoat is the precursor of cashmere. The fibre is then carefully combed by nomadic tribesmen. The transformation to a high quality knitted product takes place in Scotland, where the waters are soft and more than a century of wisdom and understanding has transformed this precious natural fibre into pure luxury.
William Lockie Super Geelong
The city of Geelong is located in the Australian state of Victoria, south-west of Melbourne. This is where the sheep of the same name are bred, whose first wool from the lamb (the young animals are no more than five months old) is known as SUPER GEELONG.This is so fine that it has a cashmere-like feel - not quite as soft as the royal fibre, but significantly softer than normal lambswool.

Manufactory since 1874
WILLIAM LOCKIE has always been passionate about using only the finest, highest quality natural wool yarns. The women's and men's knitwear made from these fibres represents an extraordinary symbiosis of authentic natural product and luxury - perfection is the goal here.Only the finest fibres are processed into a wonderfully soft knitted product in the company's own production facility with the help of particularly soft Scottish water. Traditional expertise and a high degree of craftsmanship are skilfully combined with the latest technology to ensure the highest precision fit and comfort.
