The Tweed Run
In 2011, we launched the first TWEED RUN - the first ever in Germany. The Oldenburg Tweed Run is the largest of its kind in Germany with up to 180 participants at peak times.
Preferably with historic bicycles, ladies and gentlemen of all ages in tweed and 1920s outfits as well as many endearing details - in recent years, Oldenburg has experienced the first ‘TWEED RUNs’, a cheerful and quirky bicycle excursion based on English models. The previous editions were a complete success. A new TWEED RUN awaits every spring - saddle up your bikes! Part of the entry fee is usually donated to a good cause.
Information at www.tweedrun.de - organised by Oldenburg's good addresses www.oldenburgs-gute-adressen.de
For all friends of cycling culture and socialising:
You can find out the date for the current Tweed Run via our newsletter or social media channels. The programme always varies, but we usually start around midday in the city centre, cycle out into the countryside for a nice brew break and are back in the city in the afternoon for scones and tea time.
We're always looking forward to the next run. ‘Good luck for the Tweed Run’
