This means: The vest is first produced in your chosen base material and then dyed in your desired color as a finished product.

Select your lining!

If you choose “lining back,” the back lining will match the inner lining of the vest.

Important regarding garment-dyed pieces:

The vest is fully constructed first and then dyed as a complete finished garment.

This means: the lining also receives the chosen color.

However:

The lining does not absorb the color evenly everywhere. 

The background fabric absorbs the color fully.

  • Patterns (e.g. dots or stripes) only partially absorb the color

Example:

  • Polka-dot lining → dots are only lightly dyed (approx. 20%)
  • Striped lining → stripes remain partially visible as well

Result: The pattern remains visible!

How to measure correctly:

  • Take a vest that fits you well
  • Lay it flat
  • Measure the length at the back (see diagram)

Example:

  • Size chart says: size 48 = 60 cm
  • Your vest measures: 62 cm

Then enter 62 cm.

Important:

Simply enter the measured length – it will then be made accordingly.

If you measure a comparable vest in the same way and it has a 1/2 waist width of approx. 53.0 cm, then you need ½ chest width 0.5 cm less.
