Red Wing Moc Toe – Timeless Craftsmanship for Generations

An Icon of American Shoemaking

The Red Wing Moc Toe is a true classic. Since its introduction by the Red Wing Shoe Company in the 1950s, it has embodied the spirit of rugged work boots and timeless Moc Toe boots – originally built for hard labor, now a symbol of confident individual style.

These powerhouses were designed for tough jobs – and they still hold up today: each pair is handcrafted in 230 steps, Goodyear welted, and fully resoleable.

Whether in Classic Moc Toe style with Oro Legacy, Copper Rough & Tough, or Black Harness leather – each model tells its own story and ages with character.

Why the Moc Toe Belongs in Our Collection

At die form, we believe in products that last. The Moc Toe by Red Wing Heritage is just that: honest, durable, and uncompromising in style and quality. The legendary Moc Toe 875 with its Traction Tred sole is one of the most sought-after classics.

From the Red Wing 1907 to the 8138, Chukka, or Irish Setter – every model is crafted from high-grade tough leather and showcases American craftsmanship at its best.

Quality That Speaks for Itself

  • Goodyear welt construction: Durable, long-lasting, and fully resoleable
  • Tough leather: Oiled, vegetable-tanned, and built to endure
  • Traction Tred or Vibram® sole: Shock-absorbing, slip-resistant, and heat/oil/chemical resistant
  • Made in the USA: Handcrafted in Red Wing, Minnesota, since 1905

Leather That Grows With You

Our collection features some of Red Wing’s most iconic leathers:

  • Charcoal Rough – earthy olive for a rugged look
  • Abilene & Mohave variations – for unique accents

Red Wing Moc Toe at die form – Fashion with Substance

The Moc Toe boots are versatile all-rounders: pair them with jeans, chinos, cargos, or relaxed pleated trousers – they add bold character in any setting. Especially the Moc Toe 875 with contrasting stitching and two-tone laces embodies the unmistakable style of the series.

Care with Character

To keep your boots looking great for years, we recommend:

  • Mink Oil – ideal for oiled leathers like the 8138 or 1907
  • All Natural Boot Oil – maintains softness and repels moisture
  • Foam Leather Cleaner – for stains and discoloration
  • Leather Protector – enhances shine and shields the surface

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does the Red Wing Moc Toe fit?

Most models, especially the Moc Toe 875, tend to run half to a full size large. We’re happy to advise you personally.

How long is the break-in period?

It depends on the leather: Copper Rough & Tough is soft and flexible, while Black Harness is stiffer. Within a few days, the boots will mold to your feet.

Can the boots be resoled?

Yes – all Goodyear welted models are fully resoleable. We're happy to assist post-purchase as well.

What leather types do you carry?

We offer Oro Legacy, Briar Oil Slick, Black Cherry, Black Harness, Dusty Blue Abilene, Olive Mohave, Hawthorne Abilene, Copper Rough & Tough, Oro Russet, Black Chrome, Charcoal Rough, Portage, and more.

Do any models feature Gore-Tex?

The classic Moc Toe does not include Gore-Tex, but the oiled leather provides natural water resistance. Some models are specially treated or include membranes.

Is VAT included in the price?

Yes – all prices include VAT. Shipping costs are displayed transparently during checkout.

What’s the difference between the Moc Toe and the Irish Setter?

Both come from Red Wing. The Irish Setter was originally designed as a hunting boot with distinct red leather – similar in build, but with a unique look.
