When Emma Opitz, who grew up on a farm in Silesia, teaches her grandson the Silesian knot, he not only sees the benefit in it, but also the aesthetic potential. Marc Türkheim (grandson) lovingly handcrafts the leatherlings in the Berlin manufactory.
