What we want: that vintage look. How to achieve it: with proper care using the right cream
1: Remove the laces
2: Clean the shoes with a stiff brush
3: Apply the right shoe cream and let it soak in
4: Polish the rubber with a polishing brush
A tip: don’t use standard shoe polish that matches the shoe (e.g. dark brown in this case). Otherwise, the contrasting stitching will take on the colour and the shoe will end up with a ‘tone-on-tone’ look – and that’s exactly what we want to avoid!
