Denim Know-How Part 1
A short reel on the topic of raw denim.
Great fading? It only comes from: wear, wear, wear.
If you're unsure about it: keep wearing it.
6 months, 9 months – as long as possible!
Refresh it in between by airing it out or putting it in the freezer overnight.
Why? With finished jeans, a designer thinks about scratches, crease placement, etc. We don't want that here – we create our own wear patterns, our own three-dimensionality, our own look.
When it's finally time to wash them:
One pair of jeans, one washing machine. Turn them inside out. Turn up the spin cycle. Wash as cold as possible with a mild detergent, no more than 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit).
This way, your denim will last a long time.
A very long time!
You can also find lots of information in the corresponding articles.
Especially with the 22oz denim, there's a lot of information in the description.
In this reel, I'm wearing the slim-fit 22oz Blaumann denim. I also wear it in the 15oz version. For warm summer days or as a starting point for exploring the world of raw denim, the 12.5oz denimis also a great option.
You can find all our raw Blaumann denim here.
Alternatively, we also carry the EDWIN Nashville denim.
Many people have asked about the vest – you can find it here. It's our own design, produced in collaboration with Borelio. It's a limited edition – there are only 8 available.
