For all caps, it is important that the hat is neither too tight nor too loose. Wearing it too tightly can cause a red mark on the head and potentially lead to headaches, while wearing it too loosely may result in it being blown away by the first strong gust of wind. That is why they are not available in "one-size" fits but rather in different sizes. The sizing is done in centimeter increments, which is more precise than the less accurate international sizes (e.g., M = 56/57 cm).
To determine the correct size, measure the circumference of your head (see sketch), ensuring that you leave enough space for your pinky finger between your head and the measuring tape. When putting on the cap, the back of your head should fit snugly into the cap, filling the curve completely.
For over 100 years, Wigens in Sweden has been producing comfortable hats and caps in timeless design. The best materials such as merino wool and cashmere from Italy, waxed cotton from England and tweed from Ireland also convinced the royal family: Wigens is the purveyor to the court.
Wigéns of Sweden has been producing hats and caps since the company was founded by Oscar Wigén in 1906. At the age of 26 he founded the company "AB Oscar Wigéns", commonly known as Wigéns, in the small Swedish town of Tranås. History says he was a man of strong will, sharp intellect and impressive energy. He was also known as a perfectionist. Every product had to be absolutely flawless!
