The Otter company was founded in 1840 in a traditional water-powered grinding shop, at the Königsmühle in Solingen, and still manufactures high-quality knives by hand today. Whether for leisure, household, garden, fishing or hunting, Otter knives are equipped for any kind of task thanks to their particularly robust construction. This is further supported by the stainless steel blades, which have excellent edge retention. This piece has a handle made of grenadil. Grenadil is also often referred to as African ebony and is also very popular in arts and crafts. It is quite heavy, very hard and usually has a black-brown to deep black colouring.

Care instructions:
Stainless steel: Contrary to the common name, this steel does not offer 100 % rust protection. Therefore, occasional care with a drop of oil or an oil-care cloth is recommended.
Folding knives: Dust and dirt are deposited in the knife through use. These deposits lead to increased friction and thus to faster wear of the folding knife. Careful cleaning of the gaps, joint, gear and blade can significantly extend its service life.
