"Windsor Shave Bowl Mahogany"
The Windsor Shaving Mahogany Bowl is a traditional, solid white shaving soap of the finest quality which has been triple-milled to increase the richness and luxuriousness of the lather. This gentle soap has been fragranced with Windsor, a fresh, complex fragrance which starts with overtones of Citrus and Grapefruit, and matures into tones of Black Pepper and Vetyver. Incredibly economical, each soap will last for several months. The bowl is in sustainably sourced mahogany effect sheesham wood and provides a lovely, old-fashioned bathroom feature.
Wet the beard with warm water, apply a wet shaving brush to the soap, lather up either in a bowl or directly on the face and apply to the beard.
Refill soaps are available and the wooden bowls are treated to last for many years, taking on a character of their own.

The story begins shortly before 1790 at 11 St. James's Street, where Harris' pharmacy was established. Over the next fifty years, the family made a name for themselves by selling lavender water, Classic Cologne and English Flower perfumes in this fashionable part of London. One of the owners, Henry Harris, was a surgeon, while Daniel Rotely (D. R.) was an early pharmaceutical chemist. For over two centuries, the family business in the heart of the men's club country served the nobility and court of St. James's and was authorised in 1938 to work as a pharmacist to Her Majesty The Queen, later Queen Mother, which continued until her death in 2002. In 2002 the family was also appointed as Pharmacist to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. They still provide excellent service today in their traditional pharmacy at 29 St. James's Street, which contains much of the original furniture. They adapt to the times and their fine selection of soaps, shaving creams and soaps, aftershaves and colognes, skin care products and much more appeals to those who appreciate quality and differentiation all over the world.
Environmental Policy
We want to be as climate-neutral as possible and are working hard to achieve this. One of the most important areas for improvement is packaging. We no longer use cellophane to seal packages and almost all the materials we use are recyclable. Glass bottles can be reused and wooden trays can be refilled.
We source as many products as possible from the UK, reducing delivery miles and supporting UK businesses. In fact, most of our packaging is made in the UK. In our shops and warehouses we recycle all our waste with the help of specialist companies. We dispose of all obsolete liquids, creams and solids through a specialist industrial waste disposal company. In the pharmacy we have specialised medicine disposal containers. If you have unwanted or obsolete medicines, please bring them with you for safe disposal. We are very interested in ensuring that our customers can easily order and receive D.R. Harris products worldwide. We also strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. This is why we have joined forces with DPD, who have managed to make their process completely climate-neutral.
Animal testing policy
We do not test any of our products on animals.
Animal hair and animal products policy
We strive to use as few animal products as possible, but where we do, we make sure that they are sourced as sustainably and responsibly as possible.
Badger Hair comes from sustainable farms in China and is a by-product of agriculture. The Meles-Meles species is not on the CITES 325 list.
Palm oil
We try to limit the amount of palm oil used in our products, but it is not easy to make certain products without replacing palm oil with potentially harmful chemicals. Every palm oil we use comes from RSPO certified sources. To learn more about the RSPO, please visit their website.
