With its inspiring collections, the Hemisphere brand takes a stand against the fast pace of the fashion world. Through imaginative designs in soft colour tones, innovative knitting and weaving techniques, and the very highest standards of quality, Hemisphere creates contemporary collections that transcend the fast-moving trends of the seasonally driven fashion industry. Jackets, scarves, jumpers and shirts made from cashmere delight with their soft feel, unrivalled comfort and craftsmanship. The Hemisphere fashion brand was founded in 1980 by Peter Lochmann. Driven by the ambition to introduce an innovative and imaginative cashmere collection to the fashion industry, he drew on his in-depth expertise, which he had previously acquired through years of experience at Loro Piana and Prada. As a pragmatic doer with extensive technical know-how, Peter Lochmann is responsible for the implementation and production of Hemisphere’s collections. The other co-founder is his wife, Isabell Lochmann. Her artistic talent and expertise in shapes and colours are reflected in the creative design of the collections. As a qualified interior designer, she is able to transform imaginative designs, experimental material combinations, felting and washes into contemporary and modern designs. With surprising cuts and delicately coordinated soft colour nuances, she creates a distinctive yet timeless identity for each collection. Building on a long-standing tradition, Isabell and Peter Lochmann succeed in bringing innovation to life through Hemisphere’s cashmere collections and, through the courage to reflect, continue to evolve. All of this is underpinned by a commitment to uncompromising standards of quality and transparency. Hemisphere lives up to its standards through the use of the finest cashmere, carefully selected weaving mills and spinning mills, and a commitment to social responsibility.
